Bangladesh’s Masters Cricket Carnival kicks off Thursday

The Bangladesh version of Masters Cricket Carnival (MCC) will kick off at two grounds of Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium (SKICS), Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.

Former cricketers, including national team players, are taking part in the six team tournament.

In the two matches of the opening day, Renaissance Group Rajshahi Masters will face Confidence Group Dhaka Metro Masters at SKICS Ground-1 while JB Group Dhaka Division Masters to play against Ispahani Chittagong Masters at SKICS Ground-2. Both the matches are scheduled to start at 2pm.

The final of the meet is scheduled to be held on September 6 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.

Two other participating teams-Gemcom Group Khulna Masters and Expo All Stars Masters-will start their tournament campaign on the 2nd day.

Confidence Dhaka Metro Masters: Khaled Mahmud Sujan (captain), Mohammad Rafiq, Niamur Rahman Rahul, Nasir Ahmed Nasu, ASM Moniruzzaman, Imran Parvez Ripon, Anisul Hakim, Iqbal Hossain, Imran Hamid Partho, Mir Ziauddin Ahmed, Sabbir Khan Shafin, Tanveer Ahmed Timir and Ashfaq Rahim.

Confidence Dhaka Metro Masters mentor: ASM Farque.

JB Dhaka Division Masters: Naimur Rahman Durjoy (captain), Sanowar Hossain, Shahriar Hossain Bidyut, Mehrab Hossain Opi, Saiful Islam Khan, Monirul Islam Taj, Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvo, Rashedul Haque Sumon, Sajjad Kadir, Zakir Hasan, Dipu Roy Chowdhury, Anisur Rahman, Jalal Younus and Abu Haider Ripon.

JB Dhaka Division Masters mentor: Ishtiaque Ahmed.
