The Telegraph[1] say that the Blues owner attended Spain’s 2-1 loss to Croatia yesterday to cast his eye over Alvaro Morata.

Abramovich flew from London to Bordeaux especially to catch the game.

The Real Madrid forward has been brought back to the Bernabeu with the intention of selling him on at a profit this summer.

The La Liga giants triggered a £23m buy-back clause which was in the deal that took him to Juventus in 2014.

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with Real about a move which could cost £40m.

The Blues remain interested in Romelu Lukaku but Morata is said to be more likely to make the move to Stamford Bridge at this stage.
